Dear partners! Dear Colleagues!

Kind regards from the Bronislaw Markiewicz State Higher School of Technology and Economics in Jaroslaw. Let me address you with the latest information on the development of the coronavirus occurrence in the Poland and the measures the University management and the International Cooperation Department have introduced.

The situation in Poland and worldwide is rigorously monitored by the Polish Government and appropriate steps are taken immediately to minimize any risk to the residents living or staying currently in the country and to contribute to the relevant response to the outbreak across the continents.

The COVID-19 occurrence is still moderate in Poland - the Ministry of Health issued an extraordinary preventive measure closing all types of schools including universities until April 10 th, banning events and limiting travels abroad and arrivals from abroad to the unavoidable extent.

Following the governmental measure, the Rector has cancelled all the classes, consultations, and other university-related activities and events until April 10th.

The Department of International Cooperation do work and is ready to be in email or telephone contact with your students hosted here any time they may feel the need.

All international students will be kept informed about the situation, asked to avoid travelling abroad to countries affected by the outbreak.

Currently the Government suspended both international and national flights, except for charters importing Poles into the country. To make sure the residents here are as safe as possible, arrivals from abroad are under obligatory two-week quarantine.

We are ready to continue to take care of all the international students studying at the PWSTE now and help them with anything they may need; we hope the situation will soon develop in a favourable way, in the Central Europe as well as globally, and international mobility will stop to be hindered by the current measures.

Should you have any doubts or queries, please do not hesitate to ask.

We will keep you updated with any relevant developments in the situation.

Thank you very much for your cooperation,

International  Relations Office
